It's one of those 💩💩💩 situations where I KNOW what the solution is but I'm not IT so I don't have the admin rights to go in and fix it. A friend of mine once had a half hour flight from Somewhere to Buffalo, NY that took....20 hours total travel time including three cancellations and one generous $12 snack voucher--they kept reboarding people to avoid having to pay out for a motel.

Good luck RE family sitch. Our IT team is really good, but stretched really thin. It's not stupidity, it's working at a plaintiff side firm -- we pretty much eat what we kill/win. Also the IT team knows that I generally don't bug them unless I REALLY can't solve an issue on my own so they give me priority.
