Apparently, "ko" is also an affectionate diminutive suffix in Korean: when my brother was adopted my parents asked me to choose a French name, and by a stroke of luck I picked Nicolas. He liked the shorter "Nico" and called my parents "pako" and "mako", which stuck to this day

There was a college professor who was impaired after a stroke, so his wife would wheel him out and deliver "his" lectures. When he died, she kept delivering lectures for a while before being found out

the students that tried to seduce me, had no need of extra credit (they were perfect scholars). i'd give extra credit for geography and music trivia (or if they'd recommend musicians i'd never heard of). i had a few students get higher than a 100% on their final grades (not many, though, i had a talking to from the dept head as i was failing too many students)

believe me, i've done even more stupid stuff (like roof jumping, or jumping from my fourth floor window to the third floor in the building under construction to shut up a dog that kept me for sleeping for days (it was a 6 foot gap). it was tied up, so i felt empathy. had my roommate grab me, get some leftover chinese, go back to give it to the dog in the basement, and come back. the dog stopped barking.....
