In 1985 the drummer worked with Pete Townshend on the album White City. “That was one of the high points for me,” enthuses Burke, who can be heard on the cuts “Brilliant Blues” and “Second Hand Love”. “Blondie was very popular in England, so Pete’s management called mine—that’s how I get most of my gigs, by word of mouth—and I went to Twickenham, where Pete had his studio, the Boathouse. Pete hadn’t picked up a guitar in quite some time, and we hung out for about a month and jammed.”

emily, you're the second person I happened to be w at a concert at the same time. Woo and I were at a concert in Providence RI. It was either ELP or I think Mahavishnu. Mott the Hopple opened. It made Hunter's diary that he kept for Creem Magazine. A drunken Kinks fan hit Mich Ralphs w his empty Fifth bottle. Ian came down 2 rows away and slapped him. He and friends were arrested.

When I was a teen I started going to lots of concerts. Unbeknownst to me, my parents followed me to a Blondie show. They admitted it to me later. I think it's quite funny that they went to a Blondie Concert. It was 1980. Good thing they didn't follow me to the Tubes or Suicide!
