There's a station in NYC that has a weekday morning theme set of songs suggested by their listeners on a particular topic. They call it "the question of the day." It's not WFMU, but they are also a non-commercial station. No prize giveaways if your suggested song is played, but they'll read some names on the air.

They announce the theme at the beginning, but if you miss that, it can be very hard to hear what ties the songs together.
