Some one said the other day that Clem never got a writing credit.

	12:31pm clarke: met clem, mid-90's, on Landsdowne Street in the shadow of fenway park. i said, "hey, i should buy you a beer for the lessons" and he is like "i'll buy YOU a beer!" - we went into Venus De Milo, and had a couple of rounds. when i mentioned i had a stack of cracked cymbals, clem whips out his Zildjian rep's card and hands it to me - sez talk to him. on a tour, i stopped through the Zildjian Factory in western, mass, and the guy took my re-cyclables and gave me a brand new ride cymbal, which i still use to this day!!

When they played here in Englewood some years back for the 40th anniversary of Parallel Lines, they did the whole album, which went well until Debbie seemed to have forgotten most of the lyrics to Just Go Away (after the first line). The rest of the band never missed a beat & it became a slightly weird instrumental, as Deb shimmied with a slightly sheepish look. Great fun!

Wed. Apr 30th, Noon - 3pm: Robert Dayton, author of Cold Glitter: The Untold Story of Canadian Glam (More info...) Canadian author / visual artist / musician Robert Dayton (you may remember his early-2000s duo Canned Hamm) joins Evan in the studio to discuss this exhaustively researched book that’s just been published by Feral House. There’s a launch party Tuesday night the 29th at VillageWorks in NYC, and Robert will be performing at Baker Falls on Wednesday the 30th.
Wed. May 7th, Noon - 3pm: Tuff Sunshine (More info...)
New York City’s Tuff Sunshine is, in the studio at least, the sole product of musician and songwriter Johnny Leitera. For their return to WFMU (following an appearance on Three Chord Monte in 2017) a full band will be on hand to perform Leitera’s hazy pop-psych tunes, no doubt including some from their latest album Vanity Matrix (Declared Goods).

Brooklyn's Consumables have just released their debut album, Infinite Games (We Are Time / Fierce Panda), which was produced and co-written by fellow Brooklynite Ben Hozie of Bodega. Fans of that band and other latter-day takes on post-punk (Parquet Courts, Yard Act, Pavement) will want to check out this live set.
