It's been maybe a month or month and a half since the last time it snowed. The lawn was green and growing. I hope that the daffodils
and hyacinths🪻 make it. The forsythias have been in bloom too. The buds fell off most of the maples and little leaves have started to grow.

I failed to mention that the Wild Magnolias are related to the image up at the top of the playlist. The first time I saw them play was at the Funky Butt jazz club in New Orleans, during Jazzfest of '98. It was one of the greatest shows I ever saw or ever will see! One of many fond memories at the late great Funky Butt club.

Yes, it is nice to live where it's driving distance. I always enjoy the road trip there. I stop in Houston to pick up one of my besties on the way to the fest and we usually stop around Lafayette as one of our stops for boudin!

The old Squirrel Nut Zippers were my first introduction to that style of music.
They recorded my favorite album of theirs, Perennial Favorites, by spending their studio money to buy a semi broke down house in New Orleans and turned it into their multi room studio.
