With billows and blasts from choirs and orchesters
Buskers and talkers
Big bands and squawkers,
the Stork Club has retained its qualities of decaying elegance and dwindling significance since the late 1950s.

April 13, 2025: Hi-Fly 99: Randy Weston
Deferred from last Sunday, which was Weston's 99th to accommodate that other 6'8" pianist with an intense interest in African music. Horace Tapscott. The Brooklyn born-and-bred Weston appears with a cast of everyone wonderful for a fine few hours.

Jeff already made the best reference regarding Stork getting his Randy West on, so I will just slink by this side table and sup some soup with my Glenn Passaic in a tumbler.

G Sharp and A Flat Are Not The Same Note
Haven't watched it, so I'm not sure what it says. But I like this from another source: "It's the musical equivalent of 'hear' versus 'here'. Just because they are homophonic doesn't mean they are the same word. Similarly, in western tonal music B♭ doesn't mean the same as A♯."
