Hmm. They would be strict Sabbath observers, and the Sabbath starts on Fridays at sundown. I guess for that reason plus Passover coming up, they decided to close today. But that's just the guess of one extremely unobservant Jew, me.

It's actually a nice latter day performance. I saw them at Hollywood's Roxy, twice, once the original line-up, then the second with the sublime Richard Sinclair.

Me neither. A friend of mine had an album or two by them back in the early 70s, so I remembered the band name. However, I can't remember what they sounded like. Is it worth looking up their music sometime?

They're good. Sort of the cream of the crop of the second-tier prog acts. "Mirage" is considered their best.
  🦇 7:57pm
hunterfelt:

↳ hunterfelt @7:54
Second-tier not as a value judgment, just in terms of pecking order. Camel is not quite at the Yes/ELP/King Crimson/Genesis level
  7:57pm
Dean:

Breathless and earlier are splendid. I don't know much of the post-Bardens stuff. As much as I revere the original line-up, I also adore Richard Sinclair.

I doubt they've played venues like RAH in the US. But I wouldn't consider them second-tier. Bardens has quite the pedigree, and as the 2018 YT illustrates, Latimer still has chops.
