	1:02pm spaniel: this show's a lot of fun. i think you stole my mom's record collection. one of my favorites from my intro to music/high school days was Jefferson Airplane's "after bathing at baxters" (the whole album is like one long story, man).

(Who I assume is Ian herself, since her real last name is Fink -- she borrowed her brother's middle name for her last name.) IAE, I'm amazed to hear a radio station playing anything at all by Ian other than "At Seventeen" -- much less a cut from a long-out-of-print obscurity like "Secret Life of . . ." Tony Coulter, I love you, whether or not you're related to Ann.

Also, your set reminds me of an album of some Swedish organist who had an album inspired by Lord of the Rings way back in the late 70's, I was a young teen at the time.

	2:46pm Will in Paris: Recently, My youngest French brother-in-law gave us a copie of the Beatles White Album. Whereas, I can't say that I'll listen to it a whole lot, it really did establish the architecture for almost all the pop to come. This show reminds of me of this thought that came to me the last time that I listened to the White Album. In another vein, I tried to see if "New hope for the Wretched" by the Plasmatics exists as a CD.

	2:50pm Zach in Philly: Mike, I've been holding my breath for a track from either Zepplin or Dylan. Three hours goes pretty fast. I definately second the notion to do this again sometime over the summer! But we've had so far is pretty captain fantastic!
	2:52pm Droll: Will in Paris, I love the White Album, but isn't it really a snapshot of pop music as it was, not an architecture for the future? There used to be stories that the Beatles were aping other contemporary bands' styles in tribute. Examples include Back in the USSR (Beach Boys), Let's Do It In The Road (The Doors), Piggies (Pink Floyd)... A fun exercise for a new way to hear an old classic.

I had every one of their "heavy" LPs, and memorized 'em all. Love these lyrics -- "orange funnels, snowy tunnels, summer troubles, books in bundles, and you."

	2:57pm Will in Paris: Droll, well yeah, your right but I aslo feel I'm right. A lot of songs in this set might never have been without the White Album ( am I sticking my neck out or what?) Even Helter Skelter has a Punk edge to it.

Whereas, I can't say that I'll listen to it a whole lot, it really did establish the architecture for almost all the pop to come. This show reminds of me of this thought that came to me the last time that I listened to the White Album. In another vein, I tried to see if "New hope for the Wretched" by the Plasmatics exists as a CD.

There used to be stories that the Beatles were aping other contemporary bands' styles in tribute. Examples include Back in the USSR (Beach Boys), Let's Do It In The Road (The Doors), Piggies (Pink Floyd)... A fun exercise for a new way to hear an old classic.

I had every one of their "heavy" LPs, and memorized 'em all. Love these lyrics -- "orange funnels, snowy tunnels, summer troubles, books in bundles, and you."
