Listener comments!

  6:03am
Sue:

Hey, Joe! Good morning to you!
  6:06am
Joe:

G'mornin', Sue! How's things in the Great Pacific Northwest?
  6:09am
Sue:

Absolutely gorgeous out here, nice and cool, but rather humid. But I can't complain. How's things by you?
  6:11am
Sue:

Wow, I'm really tired this morning...all of the humid weather we've been having here in JC has me feeling like a damp, worn-out dog.
  6:18am
Sue:

I totally feel you, I used to live out there! Brutal summers... but after Labor Day it might get better
  6:21am
Joe:

I hope so, Sue. Not a summer lover I. Thanks for waking up with me today!
  6:26am
Sue:

No problem. I'm looking forward to hearing your set on the road on my commute later. Your show's cool to hear while I'm flying down the highway!
  6:27am
Joe:

Wow, that's so great! Sorry you have to work on Saturday, but I'm glad that I can help you on your way....
  6:28am
Sue:

Yeah man :)
  6:29am
Joshua K:

Hey Joe. Thanks for getting my missing premium sorted out.
Nice hazy view of New Brunswick, NJ from my 5th floor apartment window this morning.
  6:31am
Joe:

All in a day's work, Joshua! Sorry it got sort of f***ed up in the first place! On my way in this morning, I saw the craziest heat lightning. Did you catch that?
  6:36am
Sue:

They have that a lot down south, I think, from what I hear. It's the coolest thing to see at night
  6:36am
Joshua K:

I heard some thunder earlier but didn't catch any lightening.
  6:40am
Joe:

It was pretty freaky--where I come from I could see it getting all spidery over the Manhattan skyline. Of course I got paranoid that a lightning bolt was going to find me. And not THAT Lightning Bolt.
  6:49am
Joshua K:

its almost 7AM and I am drinking scotch... working nights is weird when the weekend comes.
  6:50am
Jack:

Hi Joe! Glad to be up early and catching your show. We saw a beutiful double rainbow yesterday evening in between the rain, thunder and lightning, here in Monroe (NY).
  6:51am
Joe:

The bagpipes ought to go well with the Scotch. :) I guess the nice part about working all night is you get to sleep through the day.
  6:51am
Joe:

Hey, Jack! Welcome! I've never seen a double rainbow. That's too cool. I'll have to start looking around on the Web to see pics.
  7:00am
Jack:

http://www.atoptics.co.uk/rainbows/sec.htm

I'm always seeing atmospheric phenomona - rainbow arcs and halos around the sun ( in the middle of the afternoon! ) sun dogs, rainbows... I just got some books from the library about this stuff. People think I'm hallucinating, but I believe most folks just don't look up enough and watch the sky.
  7:03am
Joe:

Wow, Jack, great stuff! I love how one echoes the other, like a shadow almost.
  7:56am
Kelly Jones:

Good Morning Joe! This is about the second time this year I've been up this early and I rushed to my machine (coffee in hand) to listen because, as you should already know, I LOVE YOU.
  7:58am
dale:

morning joe. isn't it sad that rod went from this stuff to 'if you want my body'?
  7:58am
Joe:

Shucks, Kelly, thanks! The feeling is totally mutual. :)
  7:58am
Joe:

Hey, Dale! Yes, it's almost like he was saying farewell in this song to his "old" self. Too bad, I loved that dude!
  8:00am
Kelly Jones:

I saw Rod Stewart in an interview once (basically) saying "I know it's shite and I hate it but I am very very very rich."

  8:08am

  8:11am
dale:

yes, 'new seekers'. i can beam you the mp3 if i knew where to beam it to...
  8:13am
Joe:

That'd be great! Beam it to me at jmcgasko@wfmu.org!
  8:20am
dale:

  8:22am
lupica:

Ahhhhh, the opening track from Pell Mell's most under-appreciated album... And Jonathan Kane, too... Great set, Joe!
  8:23am
Joe:

Hey, thanks, Mike! I love all Pell Mell LPs, but I have a special place in my heart for "Interstate."
  8:28am
Joe:

Hey, Dale--got the MP3, thanks!
  8:28am
gumby:

  8:31am
Joe:

  8:35am
Kelly:

Lupica!!!! Hi! That's the only Pell Mell record I own...didn't know it was the runt of the litter...I love it. Figures.
  8:47am
Lawrence:

Great show Joe!
What is the bed music?
  8:49am
Kelly:

David Lee with more than just his bare ass cheeks hanging out. Boy do I miss that lunatic!
  8:49am
Joe:

Hey, Lawrence--It's a guitar piece from the Kevin Ayers demos CD that came out last year. Called something like "Nothing more to say..."
  8:50am
dale:
