	10:24am dc pat: totally BSI--we're going to be buried for a week. But I grew up in OH and PA and dig the snow...especially with kids. I'd like to hear yer gig but I'm not promising anything at this point.
	10:24am annie: ahhh, being a child in the snow, snow forts, snow men snowball fights.. we built this amazing snow tunnel thing; each kid has his/her own little hole.... and the telephone tunnels between the holes.. we learned that snow insulates sound.. had to shout to be heard
	10:25am dc pat: yeah annie! we did something like that in Cleveland. Ice skated on the streets once too.
	10:27am dc pat: on the bad side, can't count how many times I had to get to a gig in a blizzard, set up and play to 2 people, then try to make it home. So I hear you BSI.
	10:27am Cecile: We used to rids our sleds down this big hill seven blocks to the lake before the plows came out. It was like a 70 degree angle. Wicked.
	10:29am BSI: DCP: at least I'm walking distance to Marx. But Saturday is gig at Velvet Lounge with Kohoutek etc, which promises to be more of an effort if we've got nine godzillion feet of snow... deep breath, swig o' irish central heating...
	10:30am annie: at our farm in greenlawn, we had the sledding hill.. it had this bump you hit before you hit the "flat" bit.. wicked.. way wicked!

	11:15am dale: i just watched rollerball - not what i expected. i've gone though all the herzog blockbuster offers. have you ever seen 'pandora's box' (pabst, i think)? incredible.
	11:17am Cecile: I'm talking mindless, silly movies that you own, and still watch whenever they show up on cable...
	11:18am BSI: I'll second Pandora's Box like crazy (or, hell, any Louise Brooks) but Pandora's Box is phenomenal. The Criterion box was really well done.

	11:27am Adrian in London: For mindless movies I liked Mr and Mrs Smith. Oh the Prestige stank so much I had to open the windows when it finished. And that film with catherine Zeta Jones about Houdini. That got sent back within 20 minutes.
	11:27am BSI: DIARY OF A LOST GIRL is the other great Pabst/Brooks film. Also very good. But then I'd happily watch a nine hour refrigerator commercial if Louise Brooks was in it.
	11:28am trouble: (very embarassing) the pride and prejudice w/ colin firth. I could watch jane austen until the cows come home... " woman on the verge.. by almodovar.

	11:30am fishmonkeystew: If you're up for a mega cheesy 50's monster film, Them! is a hoot. The wife and I watched it again last night. It's good for a few giggles.
	11:31am Cecile: I love that Pride and Prejudice. My favorite is the part with the giant floating Mr. Darcy head. It's so corny, it's awesome. And I have a fondness for the trashiness that is the Birdcage. One of the few movies I like Robin Williams in.

	11:41am Cecile: I'm currently watching 15 minutes of a time of RuPaul's Starrbooty. It's unintentionally and intentionally terrible. I can't explain. But it's really stupid and funny.

	11:56am dale: @anders: i just bought a logitech squeezebox web radio. i've been hearing stuff i never thought possible. search by country, city, genre, etc. yes, you can hear all of it on a computer, but you wouldn't know where to begin to find it all. it even has pandora built in - i do prefer a dj, though. they put things in context and make juxtapositions that services like pandora never could.

I can't recommend any Danish radio stations by the way...The freeform doesn't exist here so you hear the same songs over and over again... sad. well - good luck with the binary listening!

	11:56am dale: @anders: i just bought a logitech squeezebox web radio. i've been hearing stuff i never thought possible. search by country, city, genre, etc. yes, you can hear all of it on a computer, but you wouldn't know where to begin to find it all. it even has pandora built in - i do prefer a dj, though. they put things in context and make juxtapositions that services like pandora never could.
