A viking ship appears on the horizon, a likeness of Alice Coltrane carved into its bow. Rare birds flock together to sing Francoise Hardy as soul hits. A sunset of blips and bleeps fills the air.

Bonjour, Trouble. A beautiful day in Madison.
  9:03am
Bad Ronald:

Motherfly!
  9:04am
Parq:

So I turned on the radio before I turned off the computer feed. The result is, Ive got Sigur Ros running on the radio simultaneously with a minute-or-so lag on the puter. The effect is pretty cool, actually.
  9:04am
trouble:

bonjour mes petites mushrooms!
  9:05am
marion:

champignons? Callas?
  9:06am
βrian:

Speaking of champignons, friends and I collected 25 pounds of *beautiful* puffballs last week. What a treat.
  9:14am
cordesc:

Good morning from raining & powerless (electricity) Michigan.
  9:17am
fishmonkeystew:

Brian: Puffballs? How do you know which are edible? We've had 4"-6" puffballs growing on our lawn for a week here in Northeast CT.
  9:22am
βrian:

This is the variety around here: http://www.mushroomexpert.com/calvatia_gigantea.html
Nothing else really looks like them.

annie:

clifton webbb, one of my all-time favorite actors!
  9:30am
Parq:

Miss T, your musical selection is wonderfully astute, as usual.
  9:35am
Parq:

I know that comment may seem banal, but I just shake my head in amazement every week at what you achieve.
  9:37am
trouble:

thankYOU parq! i am trying to do something a little different and feel i am failing miserably so that is wonderful to hear!!!!
  9:39am
cordesc:

If this is failing.... You're doing an amazing job, and I'm so happy to be able to 'tune in' today. :) -chris
  9:40am
annie:

trouble, you sell yourself short, there.. this is one of the highlights of the week!
  9:41am

You are a long and unclosable distance away from any form of fail.
  9:43am
Bad Ronald:

To paraphrase Fabio "failure of failure".
  9:47am

  9:57am

Bonjour Trouble , listening to your show with black , white , grey in front of my eyes : usine abandonnée, la nuit ,sur sol contaminé.
  10:01am
βrian:

@Francis: Vraiment? En ce moment même ?
  10:06am
Cecile:

Wow, I didn't realize how much John Cale is in Antony's voice.
  10:10am
Francis:

@Brian : sur une toile en cours . Reste à signifier l'ombre d'un batiment ou plutôt le fantôme de ses dégoulinades toxiques à placer efficacement au bon endroit sur le sol déjà bien infecté !
  10:13am
βrian:

Well, heck yeah!
  10:20am
still b/p:

Google translation/poetry:
on a canvas in progress. Remains to be served under the shade of a building or rather the ghost of its toxic drippings to effectively place at the right place on the ground already infected!

  11:08am
dale:

morning. re: puffballs. i had them growing like crazy in a spot where i had a dying poplar taken out. don't know if they favor poplar roots but i haven't had them since. i didn't try to eat, but they sure make quite the explosion when you hit one with a mower. i have pheasant tail mushrooms that grow on the shady side of elms and elm firewood. tried marinating in vinegar and oil and baking but they still had the texture of a half inch of leather.
  11:08am
Kelly Corcoran:
