A viking ship appears on the horizon, a likeness of Alice Coltrane carved into its bow. Rare birds flock together to sing Francoise Hardy as soul hits. A sunset of blips and bleeps fills the air.

With blisters still on my earlobes from Marty's High Castle set, I sail straight into Trouble's quiet openers. Listening to FMU isn't always easy, though it is always rewarding.

Ho… hey… hi everyone,
Bonjour to you dear Trouble!
  9:19am
Brian in UK:

Hello trouble. I immediately thought of this Richard Dadd painting when I saw your page. Really not sure quite why!!!!

  9:22am
seang:

today is a new beginning for everything
  9:25am
Bad Ronald:

Morning, digging the mood!

@ Brian in UK - I think Queen did a song about that painting on Queen II.
  9:25am

  9:32am
Lonious Monk:

Hello Trouble and everyone!
  9:32am
trouble:

today's artists is brian chippendale, a printmaker who is one half of the Providence band lightening bolt
  9:39am
still b/p:

Speaking of Providence bands....Saw the What Cheer? Brigade the other night. Roof came off, sound shook bones, beer splashed face, blast was had.
  9:41am
abby in france:

hi!! the ballet flats are really cute, it's all up on ebay already....
  9:49am
trouble:

what cheer! fab! where? i wanted to get them to come out to the record fair to march around, wouldn't that be fab? No abby in france already on ebay???how sad...i haven't even gone to the store yet!
  9:54am
?:

Hey Trouble! Hey commentators! Interesting collage there, juvenile psychedelia with a felt-tip touch of Gustav Klimpt perhaps.
  9:55am
postmanpaul:

c'est moi!
  9:57am
still b/p:

WCB played a short set at an art/performance block party in Portland on Saturday, then a show indoors that night. They'd be great fun at the record fair, though there might have to be injury discounts offered to patrons the rest of the day.
  9:57am
trouble:

bonjour post man paul. what's the weather in brighton today ( you are in brighton aren't you?)
  9:58am
trouble:

i know still b/p, the vendors do like to complain about loud music!
  9:58am
sugarwolf:

I'm going to Target tomorrow, I wonder if my store will have anything.
  10:01am

  10:04am
trouble:

  10:05am
postmanpaul:

It's a hot hot 100 in the shade Trouble, my feet are ankle deep in a bowl of lavender moisturiser, a handkerchief is knotted in the corners on my sunburnt bonce and my sequinned thong is....you don't want to know about the thong!
  10:05am
abby in france:

OMG!! the trench!!
  10:09am
still b/p:

Put the band inside...a Thunderdome sort of rig with a few dozen sacrificial moshers. Then everyone gets a show AND an energizing, music-acquiring goose.
  10:10am
annie:

PMP- love that image..
  10:12am
sugarwolf:

Oh well, I still have all my Liberty for Target stuff I bought last year.

  10:17am
MIchael:

HI Trouble, Just a heads up since I'm not sure if you heard but Syl Johnson had a heart attack last week while touring in Australia...he's hanging in there awaiting word from the Dr. on when to come home...he says, "Kanye and Jay-Z illegally sampling me gave me a heart attack!"
