presumably in prospect park.
  11:04pm
Destroit:

Aww, really. RIP Danceypants.
  11:06pm
Eric:

Schwalbe makes bicycle tires
  11:07pm
dave:

the only "schwalbe" i've ever heard make fine german-engineered bicycle tires.
  11:11pm
google:

Schwalbe (sl., lit. "swallow") is also a deliberate dive to draw a penalty (in soccer)
  11:11pm
Destroit:

BMG and Derek are 20 year vets of Detroit dungeons. Most recently, the No Way Back sequence of parties is great. +1 to Carlos souffront and servito as well.
  11:13pm
dave:

thanks, google! i'm now terrified that i'm riding on tires whose name is synonymous with "deliberate faceplant".
  11:15pm
Andrew Waterloo:

dave, you'll be safe as long as an official isn't watching you
  11:18pm
dave:

yeah, it's probably only because i've never tried to overtake a referee on my commute that my tires haven't yet tried to draw a yellow card.
  11:22pm
Andrew Waterloo:

It's not over taking the ref you have to worry about, it's over taking some guy wearing a different primary colour
  11:23pm
Andrew Waterloo:

Rzewski is such an intense fellow
  11:24pm
Chop Scott:

Daniel B.!
How are the new monitors in Studio A sounding to you?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:25pm
D. Blumin:

They sound damn FANTASTIC, Chop Scott!!!!!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:25pm
D. Blumin:

Did you install them muthas???
  11:27pm
Chop Scott:

Excellent...We put them in yesterday, can be tweaked abit further. Enjoying your show on this end
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:28pm
D. Blumin:

Andrew, this piece is intense - Sam Melville, one of the inmates killed in the storming of Attica, provides the text... A letter written from prison a few months before the revolt.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:29pm
D. Blumin:

They sound dandy to me... and thanks fer dropping in!!!
  11:29pm
Andrew Waterloo:

Yah, saw him perform it live once. He also performed a piece around Oscar Wilde's imprisonment. I forget which piece involve him closing the lid on the piano and then slamming it open.
  11:33pm
George of Troy:

I picked up a copy of an album by Group 180 performing Coming Together and Attica after hearing it on a local college radio station many years ago. Blew my 17 year old mind, and still does.
  11:37pm
Destroit:

Interesting comments. Steven Jesse Bernstien is a good look if you like poetry/spoken word mind blow.
  11:38pm
Andrew Waterloo:

Seeing Rzewski is probably still my most significant concert experience.Mind blown and realigned.
  11:38pm
maestroso:

@George of Troy,
I got that same album in Madison Wisconsin at one of the college record stores. I still love that version. This one was good, too. Always keeps me on the edge of my seat.
  11:42pm
Destroit:

Hello Waterloo, and I trust your comments.
  11:46pm
Andrew Waterloo:

@Destroit, Evening!
  11:47pm
Brian:

Really great sounds tonight - helps me to be an artistic genius.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:48pm
D. Blumin:

Andrew, as someone who hasn't experienced it live, I can only imagine! I shall redouble my efforts to witness...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:49pm
D. Blumin:

Thx, Brian! Good luck to yous!
  11:49pm
Destroit:

Just curious Brian, what kind of art do you do?
  11:52pm
Andrew Waterloo:

I'm fortunate to have a couple good music festivals in the area.
  11:53pm
George of Troy:

@maestroso: Nice find; I don't see it very often. I've since picked up a few different versions, and all have their merits. Edge of the seat for sure. I've seen Rzewski solo at a local church, as well as with MEV a couple of times. At one of the MEV performances, he came out first with a broom, sweeping the stage, and people mistook him for a janitor.
  11:55pm
Brian:

A little bit of everything but painting - tonight the images are getting real dark-
  11:58pm
Andrew Waterloo:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PRFxpE-dve8&feature=related this is another great Rzewski piece
  11:59pm
Destroit:

This must be great music to paint to.. Good on ya Brian. George, great story, I like you. Daniel Blumin. Great work tonight.
