I always thought that lead/backing vocal combination was an interesting innovation--I don't know of anyone who's copied that particular "Bad Boy..." since then.

My guess is he over-saturated a tape with a sequence of tones, then sped up the tape. That *definitely* beats out Napoleon XIV's reverse-tape B-side for most avant garde and irritating 45!
