Psyched that you're playing this version of "Christmas Night in Harlem" -- most people fall back upon the more palatable Satchmo version, but this one is, well, a number one hit.
	11:52am SteveL: Michael Shelley is not a source of news or information, (neither is Fox, but that's another discussion.) I do not listen in hopes of gaining a better understanding of current events. I listen because this is a show, primarily about music, that is molded very strongly by its author. Like Fred, (above,) I value this above all else when tuning in to WFMU.

	12:00pm Andrew Waterloo: Cause Fox is large enough and influential enough to have an effect on public opinion. They played a large role in Romney supporters being surprised that there wasn't a Romney landslide.
	12:01pm Robert: If you try to channel too narrowly the DJ's content, it kills the spirit. Of course everyone understands that given their head, the host will indulge in some stuff that repels those who were attracted by other things. Sometimes a DJ's taste will evolve in ways over time that wind up changing the show, as has happened with Kamikaze Diane. But it's that spontaneity, that lack of restraint, that makes WFMU so charming.

One small feature bothered me. The three wise men were wearing firemen's helmets. Totally unable to come up with a reason or explanation, I left. At a "Quick Stop" on the edge of town, I asked the lady behind the counter about the helmets. She exploded into a rage, yelling at me, "You Yankees never do read the Bible!" I assured her that I did, but simply couldn't recall anything about firemen in the Bible. She jerked her Bible from behind the counter and ruffled through some pages, and finally jabbed her finger at a passage. Sticking it in my face she said, "See, it says right here, 'The three wise man came from afar.'"
