	8:08am Dave in PA: I think Deepak hit it on the head with the roots of punk - I can totally see why it wouldn't have appeal. It's not so much art for art's sake but an expression of a sub-population's zeitgeist. It's one of those you had to be there things (in the flesh or at least in spirit) and identify with the mood and the attitude behind it. But then again that's true of rock n roll in general, I think. But it's all too complicated - what was I talking about again?

As for political stuff, I can understand Deepak there: I really can't take some of the power electronics scene anymore. I guess I'm too much of a liberal
