In an effort to find respite from noisy New York City, Josh Mease began a musical project called Lapland, often recording all the instruments himself. The resulting songs are filled with a gentle mixscape of electronics, jazzy blue-eyed soul, French-impressionistic classical and maybe a touch of 70's era Fleetwood Mac. Lapland became both an album and a band, and they dropped by Irene's show for a live set.
