The Reincarnation of Isabel, 1973; see the Comments field on track 3 of the playlist for the IMDb link. Visually wild, nonsensical—starring Mickey Hargitay (Jayne Mansfield's beau.)

This was the second black metal album I ever owned. It left quite the mark on my psyche.

Drinking some coke for the caffeine. This crap is disgusting. Looking forward to listening on the car ride home...if I ever get out of here.

Mike East: My Coke has RonRico in it. While a relatively crappy rum, it does wonders for the base product.

One of the biggest unsung bands of the mid-90s (to me) is Forgotten Woods. Great band that all of these "shoegaze black metal" bands nowadays owe their sound too.

There's that one Forgotten Woods album, with the female harlequin on the cover—absolutely golden. I remember not being able to tell if the last song was a sincere Neo-Nazi anthem, or pure satire. ...

@Stevel - sounds much better...when I'm not driving. g'nite everybody.

Yeah. I am not 100% sure of their stance. "The Curse of Mankind", their second album, sounds straight up like the Velvets doing black metal. So good. "Race of Cain" is the album with the female harlequin and it kind of sounds like their other band Joyless, which I couldn't get into the same way as I could Forgotten Woods.

Fun fact: Sam from IVES can name a Forgotten Woods track within 5 beats of the drum (anywhere in the song).

THIS WAS A BIG THING IN THE 90s, TOO - LONG, SILENT GAP AT THE END OF YOUR CD, FOLLOWED BY A "HIDDEN" TRACK> :P

While the Saturday night show was cool, and I could listen live, it is nice to have one train ride a week with a fresh Castle.
