A viking ship appears on the horizon, a likeness of Alice Coltrane carved into its bow. Rare birds flock together to sing Francoise Hardy as soul hits. A sunset of blips and bleeps fills the air.

Hello Trouble and all - Beautiful song from Sandra Rhodes, but no rain here this afternoon in West Yorkshire, glorious sunshine! And co-incidentally with lunar eclipse chat from common and d c pat, I saw Ti West's House of The Devil last night, in which such an occurrence plays a key factor in the plot. Spooky in many ways....

Agreed, CD Tap & TDK60. BTW, TDK60, are you a cassette tape? I was more of a Fuji and Maxell kind of guy and still have a lot of those in my car, but there must be at least one TDK.

I was def a TDK guy. Never steered me wrong. Maxells seemed to like to wrap the tape around the spindles in the player for me.

Ike, I'm a Late Humanoid not a tape. I like TDK & Maxell. I used some cheaper tapes too. Still record a few tapes. Have lots of cassettes still, about 6- or 700 cassettes. I don't endorse any company tho. Maybe I should change my name?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:21am

Morning Trouble + listeners! Just mailed in my tax returns AND my FMU pledge. Though the government will not be sending me back a bunch of swag in the mail...

Wow, that's even more cassettes than me. I prob. have 200. Is TDK even still in business? Naming yourself after a defunct (?) company is hip, not endorsement-esque.

hi all, (1) oh great, we pay $1.2million for this radio station and then we lose 5minutes of airtime. i say "class action lawsuit". any lawyers here? (2) tape cassettes? they sure are fun, and, not. i once took a 60min tape and put 120min of stuff on it. more bang for the buck. (3) inspired by JOHN LURIE's no-show, i took some dvd's of his from nypl. one was "permanent vacation" and in its beginning, you can see the bldg that the mulberry street library is now housed in. neat. as for the movie, well... - take care.

TDK 60 Don't change your name! They were the best.
I have tapes numbered up to 1,173 + a few hundred un-numbered,& at least 382 "official" ones. over 50% are tdks & most still sound good- some from c.1978. Much fewer maxells and almost no others still do.

@coelacanth, for those of us who prefer serialized stories in shows like Breaking Bad and not just cases of the week, the best shows today make it TV's New Golden Age and WAY classier than 60s-70s TV.
