	4:10pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63: ...seens to me this is the trouble w/ Actors portraying Musicians: the Musicians are/were already Charismatic unique persons - so it will always seem like an Imposter or Impersonator...not to slight Actors ...but of course - Documentaries don't make 100's of million$ - only a handful of Mainstream Celebrities can... - OTOH - I think Hollywood & Rock understand each other a whole lot better than they did a generation ago (let's call it) - The Jimi biopic is only '66-'67 before the 1st album - so that could possibly work. I also hear it's fairly impressionistic - which seems to work better sometimes...JamesBrown & NinaSimone pics too !...

	4:10pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63: ...seens to me this is the trouble w/ Actors portraying Musicians: the Musicians are/were already Charismatic unique persons - so it will always seem like an Imposter or Impersonator...not to slight Actors ...but of course - Documentaries don't make 100's of million$ - only a handful of Mainstream Celebrities can... - OTOH - I think Hollywood & Rock understand each other a whole lot better than they did a generation ago (let's call it) - The Jimi biopic is only '66-'67 before the 1st album - so that could possibly work. I also hear it's fairly impressionistic - which seems to work better sometimes...JamesBrown & NinaSimone pics too !...

They can't really explain the essence or development of creativy & talent of course, but those areas ALWAYS get short shrift, when that's the reason for our interest in the first place, Heaviest "story" emphasis us instead on soap opera elements, hardships & demons, career ups and downs, being shitty to or being exploited by those around them....which are all real and relevant, but get dramatized in a too-standard and redundant, fairly uninteresting way.
