Thanks for the link, Daniel! I didn't know anything about contemporary sho music that she mentions. But now I remember that there was news that Stockhausen composed gagaku music and made Japanese critiques pretty upset then. I'll check out those stuff!

Howdy to Mayuko and everyone who dug Delicate Paths - Sarah on the sho front here in Toronto. You can also get Delicate Paths from CD Baby, but be sure to read the online/extended foreword at unsounds.com (42U). Various excellent contemporary music for the sho is listed on the wikis under Shō (instrument). My fav is Hosokawa and Takemitsu.
