I had the great drummer Andrew Cyrille live on my show many years ago (it was the day Dizzy Gillespie died, in fact). One of the questions I asked him was "How do you pronounce Grachan Moncur's first name." Cyrille told me, and then I promptly forgot! I'm pretty sure he confirmed the pronunciation I had been using, because I didn't perish from embarrassment in the spot.
