I'd let most Meredith Monk performances slide, as she has done some amazing stuff in the past.

Come on , we we're nice about it,,,,,, you can't just show up at a radio station in the middle of the night unannounced wearing a trench coat and a back pack and carrying a bottle of booze...

@JHerweg The Saint Marks Poetry Marathon was fun when Jim Carroll and Taylor Mead were still around.

Spoken poetry can be done well live, but it's so exceedingly rare, I usually avoid it. Multi-media poetry works more often, and for some reason, I can digest poetry better if it's on vinyl.

All due respect to Lemmy they got better after Lemmy left. Quark Strangeness and Charm. Etc
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:05am

well woodstock is particularly boring all the time...not a good reference point.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:11am
coelacanth:

first 5 albums the best; the next 2 (post Lemmy) also good; then- eh.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:18am
coelacanth:

...actually woodstock does have a good film festival every year; and some street fairs...but when that's not happening it's pretty dead.

Jonathan,
As a station devotee since 1967, I like your DJ mix-a-lot!. Tech question: I am getting some "loop"effects on DJs' talk, with doubling on voices, often repeated and new comments sharing space. I'm listening on-line: Any other indicators of signal variations?
Keep up the nice ear stuff.

Hey Al, I have no Idea about loop effects and stuff Like that, I can barely cue up a record or hook up my stereo.

That Corsano/McPhee duo is indeed well worth seeing. Corsano was surprisingly restrained when they started playing together, but by now this is a balanced collaboration
Avatar 🎙 5:43am
Jherweg:

Restraint is the hallmark of any great improvisational drummer I think.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:49am
fred:

Yeah, but it's not exactly Corsano's calling card, and the first time I saw them he looked just too respectful. But that was about 5 years ago, and now this duo's just great

Great show
