I also chose "Crown of Creation", plus "DCBA-25", "Eskimo Blue Day" (live at Woodstock) and a couple off the first album with Signe ("High Flying Bird" and "Run Around"). A shame it took two deaths to remind me how much I love the Airplane. And yeah, there are some great jams recorded with Garcia at the house in Fulton Street.

After Judy Collins recorded it and started sending Phillips royalties, they had to sort it out. As for Weir's interpretation, we will have to agree to disagree. I don't think that there is a serious interpretation of that song.
