Jeff Lynne gets a bad rap? Of this I was not aware and blissfully so. It sounds like he heard the Beatles "I Am the Walrus" and made a career out of sounding like that. ELO was so hook laden and radio friendly. He has done an great job of sympathetically updating the sound of older artists: Everly Brothers (if only one track), Duane Eddy, Roy Orbison, Del Shannon. Then he was the glue that held the Wilburys together. And he has produced for George, Ringo, Paul and the Beatles Anthology new tracks. I praise the man.
