The South Plainfield Free Public Library just underwent a massive renovation completely on its own dime. The director squirreled away money for years in order to get it done. It never would have happened otherwise.

	10:33am Ike: The L shutdown is way off in the future, because salt water damage (from Sandy) is progressive. The L infrastructure is very, very, very slowly decaying due to that damage... but it's not an immediate issue right now. First they have to close a bunch of sections of the M and fix THAT! It sounds like the D.C. Metro is in MUCH worse shape.

The L infrastructure is very, very, very slowly decaying due to that damage... but it's not an immediate issue right now. First they have to close a bunch of sections of the M and fix THAT! It sounds like the D.C. Metro is in MUCH worse shape.
