"Lemonade Kid" composed after listening to a very long version of "Dark Star" on acid, no doubt.

Nuttin wrong with kicking off with *anything* from Europe 72 cheers

Jeff Conklin:

Morning, all.

Yeah, been obsessed with Jack Straw this week ;)

Midnight CA:

Always weird fun to hear something I heard when first released, that I still love, on the radio.

Hello in there, Jeff
Avatar 3:25am
Jeff Conklin:

Morning, KP.

Yeah, I figure nothing from Europe 72 gets played on the radio these days, save for some freaky places like 'FMU
  3:26am
Midnight CA:

As opposed to some random band practice recording. Paging John Zorn.

It's true. I was 16 or 17 when Europe 72 was released, and I played it constantly. Find it even more pleasing now than I did back then.

Midnight CA:

I gave away my all vinyl in 1986 when I went archipelago. Bought Exile On Main Street and Europe 72 before I bought a CD player.

Maybe it was this promo-only 45 you guys heard back in the day: imgur.com...

pacific standard simon:

No, I had the three record set. Parts of it I didn't listen to often, but "Jack Straw" I listened to frequently.
  3:35am
Midnight CA:

Too bad about the needle drops, but yeah go right ahead and make me sad I haven't owned vinyl for 30 years.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:38am
pacific standard simon:

I still have ~200-300 records, but no record player. Gotta fix that.

Midnight CA:

Liking this band practice recording more than the last. Off to sleep now, cheers to Jeff & all at WFMU for helping me stay on the sane side of life.

@Midnight: I guess I missed that first dig on Dire Wolves. You're wrong on both counts but that's ok ;) Goodnight.

Yer over my head but that's OK :)

I've read less sleep means more seratonin, but I'm not sure I'd trade the sleep for happiness.

@Franny: Maybe that's why I'm in a good mood. Though I may drive off the Williamsburg bridge on my way home...
