	7:32am Mike VL: Mark R - Yes! I feel the exact same way about the Blackbyrds stuff and was always slightly disappointing with Electric Byrd. This is my favorite of his. He really stretches and lets the other guys do so as well.
	7:36am fred: The mark of a great band leader is making the others better. That requires leaving them room, even if they're not comfortable with it. Joe McPhee is a master at that
