+1 for last week's interview!

Richard Lloyd's "Alchemy" aka "Blue Boy" by Orange Juice. I reckon they owe him a songwriting credit for that one.
Avatar 11:23am
Superb Owl:

I can hear the bad mix. Lloyd doesn't have the greatest voice but his vocals were obviously passed through a weird filter. Although the instruments sounded fine. IMO

91.1 signal has been dropping out intermittently all morning.

Teddy's voice reminds me of Jesse Colin Young's.

thanks Snortly - anybody else confirm this - 91.1 signal has been dropping out intermittently all morning - SNORTLY where are you listening?

Agree with the grace and genius of Greg Calbi. The #1 question would have been to ask about the mysterious "polarity" of the XTC Skylarking record.

lost you on the air aaahhhh! any info on that?

From Staten Island. Long time listener. Just lost your signal on 91.1. NPR Chicago just blew in. WTF???? Totally lost FMU. First time that's ever happened.

Maybe another one of them Jersey raccoons. Or did the engineers decide to give a try with some of those cheap Russian transmitter tubes on eBay?

Avatar 12:06pm
Superb Owl:

Yup, the Todd interview is where I heard it mentioned. But at least one other FMU DJ thinks the new master with the polarity "fixed" sounds better. As an engineer, polarity of a signal should not matter, unless certain parts are cancelling out like how those noise-cancelling headphones work.

FMU is off the air for 20+ min. Bayshore thru Sandy Hook, not receiving!
