@rich: either post a J:A issue that you personally colored or GTFO. Also please try our new Cola-Steeped Brisket!

Ken From Hyde Park:

I used to cringe when I saw United Airlines commercials using "Rhapsody In Blue." I hope they're not doing that anymore.
  12:10am
rich:

preference: steeped in the old cola
  12:11am
ice in bklyn:

Was that Blake and Sissle?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:12am
coelacanth:

greetings rich and dirigibles
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:12am
Folsom:

I'm more of an RC cola fan.
  12:13am
rich:

i once ended up in a three hour conversation in which my only participation was that of listener regarding the various carbonation levels of colas
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:14am
coelacanth:

it's been a few years since i've had cola, but many, many years since i've had it without liquor in it.
Avatar 12:14am
fleep:

there you were, just minding your own fizzness
  12:15am
rw:

R in B. was my grandfather's favorite song.
Avatar 👻 Swag For Life Member 12:16am
Ken From Hyde Park:

I'll bet Station Manager Ken would like to adorn his playlist with some of those eye teases.
  12:16am
rw:

And for good reason, I might add.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:16am
Folsom:

@coelacanth Yeah it's hard not to drink liquor without Mountain Dew, especially good scotch.
  12:17am
Andrew:

ken burns and woody allen kind of rubbed our noses in this one plus i remember laboring over it in school orch. but its still fantastic.
  12:17am
ice in bklyn:

Is this about the baseball team?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:18am
coelacanth:

i had to leave that gif site fast. my fan is still pretty loud - 5 minutes later. 'computer definitely would've shut down.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:23am
coelacanth:

Folsom, i know what you mean. i just discovered a fine scotch that's surprisingly cheap..."crystal palace" brand. 'comes in a plastic 1.5 liter bottle. i guess that's how they keep the price down.
...'great with the dew.
  12:23am
rw:

rich, did you learn anything useful? From the carbonation conversation, I mean.
  12:25am
rich:

to avoid conversations regarding carbonation
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:27am
coelacanth:

i'd like to know how that conversation took 3 hours, but now i know i never will.
  12:37am
rich:

the gentleman was holding a circular conversation with himself and i was a captive audience
  12:39am
rw:

Ha! I did a three hour car ride with a guy like that once. May have been four actually...
Avatar 12:40am
Ike:

Unless that static was part of this track, you just went off the air at 91.1 for several seconds. But you are back on now.
  12:40am
JakeGould:

@Ike: Sharp ears as always!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:41am

esg!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:44am
coelacanth:

rich, that's even more stunning...1 person!
if i had to hear myself talk for 3 hours i'd slit my throat.
  12:46am
rw:

rich, I think you're too polite.
  12:50am
rw:

On my four hour car ride the guy was working out alternate lyrics to "For Your Love" the whole way.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:51am
coelacanth:

i've listened to a person monologue for 3 hours, but not about carbonation.
  12:53am
ice in bklyn:

Why has every song reminded me of ian dury in some way tonite?
  12:54am
rich:

i'm convinced that the person responsible for the conversation never heard himself speak it was just a reflex he had whenever there was an ear nearby
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:55am
coelacanth:

i was considering that.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:57am
coelacanth:

my oldest sister does that, only her mind's all over the place. (the mindless place, that is.)
  1:00am
rich:

if you're all over the place you've got to seep
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:16am
coelacanth:

i'm glad to hear that about ulysses. i was thinking yesterday that i might read it - and i still might give it a shot; but the way you responded to it is something i can thoroughly relate to. Life's too short to waste time finishing a book that doesn't matter to you.
  1:19am
JakeGould:

@rich: I have seen/heard that happen. Some people really act like that the second ANY warm blooded creature comes near them. I’v actually sidestepped people who acted like that and they are STILL talking to an empty space after I have left.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:25am
coelacanth:

rich, i must unplug the laptop and hope to drift off (still wondering if anyone took my crystal palace scotch post seriously) -before the battery quits.
Thank you, sir.
ciao, mammals.
  1:33am
rw:

'night coel! I, for one, took the scotch post at face value.
  1:34am
rw:

Well, for a second anyway.
  2:00am
ice in bklyn:

Really good set
  2:58am
mewho:

you're doing great
