it was good... semester finished Friday, second semester teaching fulltime. good students. but i'm back in my element - staying up late wiring, soldering, etc, listening to WFMU! funny i had a similar experience with missing out on new music for a while and then suddenly being reimmersed today.

oh that is funny! yeah, the first half of the year, it was almost an overdose -- wfmu every week and a cafe job with a very loud soundtrack 24/7. the quiet has brought back the intensity of feeling i love so much -- it's especially important right now, with how dismal the world can feel

oh well thats good, dismalness aside. and i absolutely know what you mean... i actually took a week off music (outside my students' buzzy laser noises) about two weeks ago, it was refreshing! helped my reading focus also.
