Favoriting Bryce: Playlist from February 3, 2017 Favoriting

I never miscue a record. I am punctual, well-prepared, and dislike clutter. Outgoing and helpful, I'm always appropriately dressed. I do not behave erratically and have excellent penmanship. My CD's never skip, and I am in good health. I like all the notes, in any order.

Lyle:

Monâjât Yultchieva, hadn't heard that name in a while. I remember sharing a stage with him circa '77 when he was playing 2nd Xylophone for Starbuck. He was such a peppy player, always rushing the tempo a little bit, but at the same time pushing his bandmates forward into uncharted waters. I distinctly recall that he had each tone-bar on his xylophone painted in contrasting day-glo colors. He also used thick wooden forks as opposed to yarn mallets, which gave his playing a crisp, staccato efficiency. I was playing trombone for Foghat at that time, which gave me limited stage exposure. I was mainly called upon to play an extended solo during Slow Ride and to accent specific moments of Foghats music where a little trombone pulsation could add the extra zing they needed to push them over the top. I never sawMonâjât much after that. I miss him sometimes.
