I've said it before and I'll say it again: FMU is my fave station EVER but there exists a slight aversion to playing ACTUAL Beatles (versus Beatle related or Beatle sound-a-likes.) Gaylord claimed (something to the effect) that it is partially due to the sheer greater number of Beatle related tracks, which I suppose makes sense, but still... I dunnoo... There ain't nothin' wrong with a lil more Beatles ever, dangit!

It's just that, unlike as with all other stations, where there's a fixed and narrow playlist, at WFMU the Beatles are competing for airtime with every single song ever recorded. (For the record, both Matt M and I have proudly played the Beatles on our respective shows, and I've made no bones about them being my favorite group of all.)
