Ever see Jerry Lewis' "The Disorderly Orderly"? It's about a medical student who can't complete his training because he suffers from "Empathy", couldn't stand the suffering of patients. When I was a teen, it had me rolling in the isles of the theater (not generally a Jerry Lewis fan, but that one got to me). I'll wear my Jazz Orderly status with PRIDE!!!

I heard Stairway/Gilligan many times. A SF big bandleader named Dick Bright and his odd buddy Roger Clark, a UC Davis grad, made the song. It was sung by a local comedian at the time named Dr. Gonzo. They got their asses sued off, naturally.
