	10:18am The Oscar: We have names for all the cats in our neighborhood. The best is Awesome Cat-- he'll bound out in front of you and roll on his back, then run ahead of you and do it again if you keep walking without petting him. Awesome Cat is awesome.

	10:25am JakeGould: @Trouble: When I lived in rapidly gentrifying Downtown Brooklyn few years back there was this orange neighborhood stray cat that had two names that was a perfect sign of the gentrification happening: Old school neighborhood folks just called the cat “Pumpkin.” Newer folks would call the cat—wait for it—“Camus.” As explained to me it was in honor of the cat being “The Stranger.” Just call the blessed orange cat “Pumpkin” already.

	10:30am The Oscar: My old neighborhood had an enormous orange cat we named Heathcliff. Heathcliff clearly ran the neighborhood, and took to sleeping on the hoods of strangers' cars. If you wanted to move your car, well, you'd just have to wait.

	10:38am JakeGould: Also, I have a “Tale of Two Kitties” experience. I’m working late at night like 10 years ago take a walk around the block and stop to check out the strays. They’re always skittish, but this this one stray just bounces towards me… Weird… Has a collar on with a number. I make note of it. And then the cat runs across the street to a bush in a schoolyard and sits next to a cat that looks exactly like it. Sits and sits. They look at each other a while. And then they split. I call the number from that one cat’s collar and they told me the cat wasn’t lost, but a litter was born in their yard. The one with the collar was the only one that wanted to stay with humans. The rest became strays again. And the one “domesticated” stray likes to go out at night to hang out with it’s sibling every once in a while and then head back home. They always met under the same bush.
