I used to get up late for school all the time because I stayed up to watch CH. 11 from 11-1:30 at night play the Odd Couple followed by the Honeymooners then Star Trek and finally the Twilight Zone. Those shows are ingrained in my brain.

Is anyone else listening on 91.1? I've been getting intermittent interference from another station since early Friday.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:30am

Only in my car Number Six. I only get interference when I drive a few miles west into Roxbury. Wharton is fine unless I'm under a lot of power lines

Mr. Pumpy:

annie...if you use iTunes, go to the 'Advanced' tab and click on the first item, 'open stream'. Then all you need to do is past this bad-boy in: stream0.wfmu.org...

Mr. Pumpy:

I have a playlist called 'Radio' with all of my favorite channels steaming via this method. Provided the channel has a URL as such, which WFMU does. This, coffee, and Bluetooth headphones...and I'm in heaven.
Avatar 5:45am
annie:

thanks for the tip, mr pumpy. i once used itunes for radio, long ago, it was very handy. when they upgraded to a new system i dropped them and never looked back. i loved using winamp, it was my favorite player... i really miss it. now i'm satisfied with tunein.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:46am
jkeigh:

winamp still exists Annie. That's what I'm using now
Avatar 5:49am
annie:

oh, not for mac....i've tried
Avatar 5:49am
annie:

unless theu've added a player for mac..
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:50am
jkeigh:

Sorry, I live in a PC world. I forget sometimes....
Avatar 5:52am
annie:

it's ok... i was very disappointed with the change, i did take a few weeks trying to use back doors and such to access it... it's just not mac-friendly, very likely due to the itunes strength.. i was able to move files with ease, but it just hated when i installed directly.. froze up, wouldn't load.. you know,... damn apple...
Avatar 5:55am
annie:

so glad i could catch the show this morning carol!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:56am
jkeigh:

I always hear MAC users constant praise so it's refreshing to hear a little criticism now and then. Especially with all of the PC issues that are out there.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:56am
jkeigh:

Anyhow. thanks for a great show Carol. TIme to go to work (which is uncommon for me on a Saturday)
Avatar 5:56am
Number Six:

Thanks for another great, if all too brief show, Carol! Catch you next week! :)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:57am
Mr. Pumpy:

annie - I never went past iTunes 10 for similar reasons. My laptop shit the bed recently and I had to get a new one and find the old version of iTunes I had been using. I’m running version 10.7 and it is great. Here is a link to download all sorts of old versions of iTunes. That is where I found my download. I managed to salvage my music and iTunes library file and everything came back up exactly the same on my new computer after a few easy steps. www.oldapps.com...

Ken From Hyde Park:

Thanks for the jams this morning, Carol. Have a nice week.
Avatar 5:57am
Pen:

yeah that was really great. sad that it's over. thanks Carol.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:57am
Mr. Pumpy:

I always deny the periodic iTunes upgrade as I can't stand the changes.
Avatar 5:59am
annie:

mac is fine, it's OS is superior to pcs, but the music thing is the stickler.. and i've tried other players, too.. apple just hogs the system. yes!!! i would deny access for the intunes upgrade, too.. but... then.. i've had a couple crap-outs so when i bought the next system, it was already installed, i gave up my attachement to control over that.. i had to..
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:02am
Mr. Pumpy:

You can uninstall and put in an older version. I have Mac and PC both. I like Apple products, but they are insidious with their software products. It is infuriating.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:07am
CarolCrow:

Thanks everyone for listening! Much gratitude to you all:) Have a great week!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:09am
Mr. Pumpy:

You too!
