When you're dancing to the hot stuff, compliment the band, don't give them the bird. Exit down the hall, head with your dog before it gets too bad outside. When you get back, you might burn yourself on the hot rolls if you just dive into them, and that'd hurt; you don't need a fortune teller to know that.
If only those crash test dummies had been dressed in clown suits and one of them would have stood up at the end and shouted "Ta-da!" I'd've paid a dollar to see that. BTW, GM youse guys.
Good morning everyone! Just want to announce that this weekend, I became an owner of the "Karate Moves" record...love Clay, but still made that "Karate Moves Narrator" wasn't given a shot at the morning slot. In any event, 2018 is already looking up!

If you're still taking requests I'd like to hear California by Jad Fair and Kramer.
it's from The Fast Show, a great comedy series from the 1990s. That sketch was a parody of late night British TV jazz shows. Very funny and accurate. www.youtube.com...
The People Of NJ Have Spoken...and they said...'WE'ED LOVE TO HAVE A NEW GOVENOR!!" And BTW we can Drag NY State along Wit US!!!! IN YOUR FACE SESSIONS!!!

Let me rephrase it then. Isn't El Circulo , the best song about Argentinians threatening the British Sea Power and insulting the British Royals for no apparent reason whatsoever? Yes or yes?
Legal ID time is coming everybody! Here is the exact text:\\WFMU East Orange. WMFU Mount Hope, in New York City and Rockland County at 91.9fm and online at wfmu.org
Peter Wyngarde was one of the stars of "Department S". I told my friend Damon Lindelof (then a young Hollywood detective show writer) it'd been my favorite detective series; it was before his time. He wound up basing "Lost" largely on a few episodes of "Department S", especially my favorite, "One of Our Aircraft Is Missing", which I'd told him about.

Ken, I remember when you took bath salts at the UCB theater in 2012. I was in the front row. I was afraid you would eat me. That happens to be the first time you and I were ever in the same room. It was a great introduction.
a funny 7sd ight entail ken and andy wearing adult diapers - one get's a depends and the other get's the less absorbent brand x. they have to crack each other up to the point of wetting themselves and the one who shows tinkle on his slacks is wearing the brand x.
The record store I used to work at had an ongoing list in the back where employees could add their own joke band names. An enduring favorite was "Durante Column."

Steve:
Helen Traubel reminds me a little bit of Margaret Dumont

Helen Traubel was in fact used as a straight woman by Jerry Lewis in a couple of his movies.
speaking of standup comedy and Tony Shaloub - that recent Amazon series he stars in ("The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel") about female stand up comedian is pretty good - @Melinda it is archived under 7SD WFMU archives page - Dec 2 2009 and replayed recently - Nov 22, 2017 -
@Linda Lee @Murakami They might not know who he is, but I feel like enough cartoon voice actors still cop his style that they could probably impersonate him. See also: Peter Lorre, Edward G. Robinson.
Uh, I was a very horny straight, male, teen in 1975 and I found Alison Steele's act _hilarious_ rather than lust-o-genic. The moment it's obvious someone is _trying_ to induce a feeling in me….
"Drop It Like It's Hot" is one of those songs that goes with everything. I've heard equally good mashups with "C'Mon Everybody" and the theme from Kirby's Dreamland.
The Oscar:
Jesus, the first time I heard Peter Lorre's actual voice…everybody does a {second+}-generation knockoff of Mel Blanc's Lorre.
Right before I kill Hitler and get erased thereby, I'm first going to hear Lorre create the rôle of Mr Peachum im „Dreigroschenoper“. Oh, and I'll keep that white kid from believing he inspired Chuck Berry.
yeah, linda, that sounds about right -- i knew when I was a kid that he was iconic (also thanks @11:01, i missed that before) it's the kid's turn on the computer so gtg ttyl radio is on
I think Durante was respected/derided by other entertainers for surviving without much of an act—real derision, real respect. (I've encountered the same from programmers with greater talent and much worse patter.)
Srating my book... Grandfather and the ghost train.. a story about the discovery of extra sensory perception thru multimedia art. not a super hero film about science and destruction
Glad to hear that timothy. I did also. It was the best “underground” club in Phila and loved going. Learned so much music there. I crazy miss it. It’s good to know some of us remain. Cheers Steveo and timothy
Thanks, Ken, people! Great comments, great usernames, great GIFs, and, oh, yeah, great music (I almost forgot!). Till next episode and remember to LOOSE THE F UP and BE HAPPY!
