Franco Twinkie:

Okay! I've got my work cut out for the weekend cleaning up this mess. Thanks for the tip.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:33pm
coelacanth∅:

Franco -seriously, there is another consideration; if the hair is long enough a bird very likely will use it to make a nest, and quite easily hang herself trying to work with it. (i have seen this)
Avatar 🌫 Swag For Life Member 10:37pm
Franco Twinkie:

Jesus! I better get started now. even though it's getting dark outside.
  10:37pm
rw:

Hang herself? That’s awful. I heard a similar story about a fox this weekend. I think it’s more likely the hair will just dissipate. Wind, birds, etc.
  10:38pm
rw:

How much hair are we talkin’ about here?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:39pm
Daniel Blumin:

Hello, Chresti!!! Thanks, phil!
  10:42pm
chresti:

If it’s long, it might get tangled up in someone’s feet and trip them!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:43pm
coelacanth∅:

i have a photograph of a bird skeleton hanging by her neck from hair attached to a mostly built nest. bird's will use just about anything strand-like.
i don't think i'd worry too much about a bird working on a nest overnight though.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:43pm
melinda:

That was hypnotic.

rw:

Oh, DB, The show is sounding great in my back yard!
Avatar 🌫 Swag For Life Member 10:44pm
Franco Twinkie:

Well, I gave my girlfriend a haircut this afternoon(she had quite a mop) and instead of picking it up I just threw it onto a pile of dry leaves thinking our cat might like to lay on it. Is this flawed logic?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:44pm

somebody's back yard is sounding great in my bedroom!

rw, no neighbors, I hope!
  10:46pm
rw:

Neighbors asked me to turn it up.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:47pm
coelacanth∅:

Franco i'd guess that if it's not more than maybe 6-7" it's not a big risk to a bird? and maybe a rabbit will use it for a nest and be thankful for it. i dunno.
  10:48pm
rw:

Dog’s asking for a walk. I may need to go. Thanks Daniel! Enjoy the weekend! Take care all! Have a hairy one!

Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:56pm

"veet" sounds more 21st century. i'd think that after several decades of clinical testing they'd determine that burning your skin might not be good, but maybe it's okay to burn your skin after all.

In terms of all the hair product comments I think it might be worth noting that in the Mahabarata, Yudhishthira wagers his wife, Draupadi, in an epic losing gambling battle with Duryodhana and Yudhishthira suggests that she is as beautiful as Lakshmi and also that she is "devoid of excessive bodily hair." No nair needed in the celestial realms.

but i had no choice and used it and it made my hair much more healthy looking than the prell concentrate had been doing.

But she just wouldn't take no for an answer. Finally in exasperation I said "just use dish soap, it'd the same damn thing!" and hung up the phone. Later she told me it worked great.
