Yeah, word on the street was Del didn't care for Steve Earle's profanity. I saw that tour too, they did the bluegrass single/central mike thing, show was great, and Iris Dement showed up to duet on the tune from The Mountain where she guested. Del and the band were riveted to Iris. Steve Earle was still being randomly obnoxious to audience members, as was his thing in those days, but a great show.

I think the idea is that, speed limits being hat they are, if you're distracted while driving you'll end up breaking them. This is indeed how this whole philosophy of local revenue works: that mere prudent driving is not enough because limits are set unrealistically low and change suddenly just to generate tickets.
