World Cup kept me from catching up on my sleep this weekend. Going down in about 40 mins.....

Ok, Luis Gasca is new to me... thanks!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:48pm
KimSorise:

Cool - Glad I could hip you to something new before you’re off to sleep.
Solid players: joe henderson, Santana, mark levine, Lenny white, Stanley Clarke, coke escovedo etc.

scheisse, that's a solid lineup, Kim, that explains it!

Webster Lewis in Norway, yep, new to me!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:20pm
doctorjazz:

Think the Band's name is long enough Do like their music, though.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:20pm
KimSorise:

Not sure how difficult the W. Lewis is to find, but it is fantastic all the way through - Jimmy hopps - drums, Stan Strickland - tenor, Bobby green - alto, flute, Judd Watkins - vox; lewis organ
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:21pm
KimSorise:

Band name is a bit ridiculous - but it’s your going to put that out there - glad it is as solid as it is.

This is pretty epic
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:25pm
doctorjazz:

Looked for it on Discogs (you're another FMU DJ that costs me money...) 4 copies available, probably in the $100 buck range (some a bit cheaper, but I have found if it ships from Europe, likely to make up the difference in postage) Ouch!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:28pm
doctorjazz:

Found another listing a bit more reasonable .. Hmmmm.....
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:30pm
chresti:

I think the most I'm willing to pay is $20
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:30pm
KimSorise:

Ouch! Glad I grabbed it when I did! My own record habit it pretty destructive at times - which is I am sure a common problem for many of us. Always happy to help further folks habits in record accumulation - ha!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:32pm
KimSorise:

I think I paid about $35 - it is a double LP/ gatefold and nicely done, but that was when it was just released.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:32pm
doctorjazz:

Haven't found it that cheap yet, $50 cheapest vinyl,, $40 cd version. But just a quick check.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:34pm
Uncle Michael:

Hola.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:35pm
KimSorise:

Hallo UM!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:35pm
doctorjazz:

Best I've seen in LP was $50, CD $40, but it's just a quick search

nap, time, then off to see To Live and Shave in LA down the street. Thanks, Kim!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:37pm
KimSorise:

Haha! Crazy stories about seeing Tom and friends! Enjoy NGH... until next time.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:38pm
Uncle Michael:

How's your summer going, Kim?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:39pm
doctorjazz:

3rd time I'm trying to post this (had a power surge after thunder stuff not quite behaving). Have found a $50 LP, $40 cd so far of it.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:40pm
doctorjazz:

Oops, figured they might all show up, sorry...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:41pm
KimSorise:

It’s been good, UM. Busy. Lots of stuff getting ready to happen at the house: foam insulation, new windows and we are building a second studio in part of the garage - plus school prep and DJ gigs etc. But I have Pimms and a baby pool - so I relax sometimes
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:47pm
Uncle Michael:

All that and I'd need a baby pool filled with Pimms. Good luck to you.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:52pm
KimSorise:

I like to stay working - but when I crash, I most certainly do. Balance is always around the corner, but after this house venture - that should be just about it! Last thing is to have the house painted.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:53pm
doctorjazz:

Thanks, Kim, enjoyed the show.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:55pm
KimSorise:

You’re very welcome, DocJazz. Until next week.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:59pm
KimSorise:

Have a great week, all! Stay tuned for Sam.
