Oh… Darren Aronofsky? I thank him for “Requiem for a Dream” because it shows very specifics of life growing up in Brighton Beach I have never seen on film… Like junkies and old ladies sitting in front of buildings all day… Neil Simon doesn’t go there! But past that I find his work to be so devoid of any hint of humor or redemption it’s insufferable. Yeah, I thought “Pi” was great when I first saw it. But he’s just playing the same “extreme” schtick all the time. Not a fan.

The Sonny Rollins album "Don't Ask" has two disco-ish cuts that I enjoyed. However, most jazz musicians who did disco were not actually interested in the music and simply did it to drum up sales. The results were predictable.
