Heya Mary and Sem. Looking to hear something good today!

Aw, and here I thought maybe I'd be the first commenter today! Hi, Mary, sounding great so far!

One more of the Wing's ailerons here. Good afternoon.

"Lullabies for Insomniacs" would have been a good name for your midnight show. Or even better, for my 3 am show.

Ours was small and quiet. The highlight was changing the resin in the water softener. Boy howdy!

I'm going to take this Acid Mothers Temple business live in a week or so. Yay!
  12:27pm
Mark R:

Small but nice group. My brother and his wife drove in all the way from northern Michigan. Had a nice visit, took 'em to look at the windows in the city (which except for Bendels I found VERY disappointing btw).
Avatar 🛎 Swag For Life Member 12:28pm

Full of turkey, pie and whatever.

Windows? That's a thing?
  12:28pm
Mark R:

I notice it's been a while since I've heard a new Acid Mothers album. These guys used to be good for 2-4 albums a year. What gives.
  12:29pm
Mark R:

Well, all the stores on Fifth Avenue used to do these really extravagant windows for Christmas, but this years' seemed a little half-assed, except as I said, Henri Bendel's, which are always extraordinary.
Avatar 12:30pm
Mary Wing:

Discogs says they've put out 9 releases this year, Mark!

@Mark R: Maybe it has to do with the collective ennui.

Ha shows what I know! I'm a little out of touch lately.

Mine was quiet and full/filling. Girls home from school, no other family members. Drink, food, football. Not in that order.
  12:34pm
Mark R:

They must just record every time they get together and jam. Really digging the trippy vibe today, Mary.
  12:35pm
Mark R:

Mary, if I may ask, is Ken ever coming back, or is this just an extended hiatus, or do you not even know?
  12:36pm

Just between you me and the lamppost, I prefer having you twice.

Kenzo should be back next week, unless he eats those poisoned chocolates I sent him...

Always nice to hear an old favorite amongst the unfamiliar and new. Sort of like running into an old friend at a party.

And yes, the wind is indeed wild today in North Jersey. Very bitter!

Hi! My folks were bored with turkey and stuffing and that whole bit, so we went out to Elmhurst, Queens, for Thai food instead. It was great. Best Thanksgiving in a while.

Byrne seems to me to be a little socially uncomfortable onstage when he is interacting with the audience between songs, etc .. He could probably be upstaged by anyone with a more dynamic personality.

Carmichael, I wouldn't be surprised to discover he's a little bit on the spectrum. But it's part of what makes him unique and great, too.
