Futile expeditions to the edges of good taste, bad morals, and ugly intententions. Late night drives somewhere between Harold and Kumar Go To White Castle and The White Castle of Fear.
Second Hand Pop, MIDI grunge soundalikes, and uncanny Japanese karaoke.

Good afternoon, Darren. Blasting it, eh?!

Darren - where can I find the playlist for the dude that filled in for you last week? That was last week, if I'm not mistaken, right?

Hi Dave and David.

great sound this Carlos Maria Trindade & Nuno Canavarro. I am portuguese myself and did not know it.

nando:

i am addicted to this kosmicher läufer so much that i want to believe this is really from the 70's DDR
  4:50am
David in London:

Timezone-appropriate greetings to you Vincent.
  4:53am
David in London:

@nando - I'm wearing a nasty stripped nylon tracksuit and running round Leipzig in the drizzle right now.
Avatar 4:55am
Diezel Tea:

Shit, I left my 70's Adidas track jacket at my apartment this morning. It's too cold in Armenia for a track jacket today. It would've gone swimmingly at present.))

David in London that's impressive, to comment on FMU and jog at the same time ;)

Gluten to you too, ben abs.

Oh, you want to Soviet it up for GHWB? Play some Kino/Viktor Tsoi
  5:01am
David in London:

@ Diezel - Not at all. Here in the DDR we have superior anti-roll typing technology to anything you have in the decadent west. It allows me to train and type at the same time easily. I do, though, have to stop for my morning injection of massive amounts of steroids...

David I am not in the west. I write you from The Armenian Soviet Socialist Republic, Yerevan Oblast.

@Diezel - Actually my part of London came close to being Soviet in the 70s, too. On a less fantastical note, what's happening in Armenia at the moment?
Avatar 5:25am
Diezel Tea:

This week are our snap parliamentary elections, to hopefully get the previous regime's stragglers out of house. Tonight it'll snow - which will be the first for this year in Yerevan (...and climate change isn't real, right?). I the north it's already snowy. There are plans to build a new nuke powerplant here, which Ruswsia isn't happy about. Solar farms are opening next year, expanding our wind energy program, also opening the largest cryptomining "farm" next year with investment from India. Recently Herr Bolton visited and gave a speech saying the US needs help from allies in the region to help "squeeze" Iran with sanctions. Our PM responded "FU, we'll trade with our neighbor, KTHXBYE"
Avatar 5:26am
Diezel Tea:

That's about all. I'm sure more is going on here, but I don't go out much anymore, and work on personal/family projects. We just got married and saving for a house next year, so things are boring and I don't hear/hang out much.

kuba:

very nice show, darren, thanks
Avatar 5:29am
Diezel Tea:

Oh, and a bill to outlaw gay marriage got shut down, because in our constitution it already says it can only be between a man/woman so it'd be redundant. If that's interesting at all. Two of my friends are also off to start their military service. No news on the war right now, still the status quo.

kuba:

a nice hola to you, too, ben
  5:35am
David in London:

@Diezel - Thanks for the status report, that's really interesting, particularly the part about Bolton. It's good to get the scoop from a pair of eyes actually on the ground. Such things rarely make it into the media here, which with Brexit sucking the life out of everything, is even more myopic that ever before. I'd love to visit Armenia one day.
Avatar 5:43am
Diezel Tea:

@Kuba welcome to Darren's bucket of gold. @David anytime, man. It's a super affordable vacation if you come with euros/pounds/dollars. Georgia too is a wonderful place for visiting and rather affordable, plus they speak more English in Tbilisi than here in Yerevan, and they have much better nightlife.))
Avatar 5:44am
Vincent Nifigance:

@DiezelTea I've been reading with great interest too.

Oh, I almost forgot, if you've ever been into the heavier end of rock, in Tbilisi there's a super badass bar called Kreator, and yes, the same logo, hahaha.

@Diezel - A work colleague of mine went to Georgia recently and was absolutely knocked out by how amazing it was. It could be compelling for me next year...
Avatar 5:52am
Diezel Tea:

It's an interesting place, man. I've been to Georgia 8 or 9 times, maybe more, and it never gets boring. I can't say the same about Pennsylvania. Sorry PA listeners...
