Pretty jazzed for this foray into current affairs. Grill Murphy about the state of NJT, please. Also interested on his views on Taylor ham.

Awesome way to open the how, Todd. I got to see Sonic's Rendezvous Band at a dive bar outside Ann Arbor MI back in the day.

Funny how it works, whenever The Sonic Rendezvous Band plays on the radio, I actually lose the pants!

I was lucky enough to Sonic’s Rendezvous play at Bookie’s and Ford Auditorium in Detroit, not to mention the MC5 at the Grande Ballroom when Fred was with his musical brothers,... all special memories from a unique time.
  3:23pm
David in London:

@Peter from Dover. That must have been phenomenal. Until the advent of a certain video sharing app, common lore always said that The MC5 has only played once in England. Then footage emerged of them live in Aylesbury, near where I grew up, and it’s absolute killer. Tyner even changes the lyrics of Tonight to be “Gotta get down in Aylesbury.” Sadly I was only 4 and so didn’t go. Sigh.

I think the names of highchools should be voted on by the student body every 4 years. My dad went to the first Alternative highschool in Madison WI in the late 60's early 70's. it was a self segregated combination of disaffected whites and poor black kids... the black kids mostly wanted to call it Malcolm X and the white kids wanted to call it MLK and they settled on Malcolm Shabaz over the objections of the school board.
