Greetings from L.A. Ready for Side A.
Avatar 12:07pm
Tony Coulter:

Greetings, Sem & fleep!!

I only discovered the '90s after moving to Portland in 2009.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:11pm
fred:

Fitting soundtrack as I'm working on synthesis software that dates back to the early '90s (and that was already a reworking of an original from the mid '80s)

Michael 98145:

g'day. where are these gems from ?
Avatar 12:12pm
Tony Coulter:

Hola, Michael 98145! These are all comps released by the British music magazine Impulse.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:12pm
Michael 98145:

sounds like a Border Wall Rally
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:14pm
Michael 98145:

thank you. never encountered Impulse.
Avatar 12:17pm
Tony Coulter:

I think they only put out around 8 issues or so.
Avatar 12:17pm
Tony Coulter:

Or at least there were only 8 issues that came with cassettes (issues 1–8).
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 12:41pm
listener james from westwood:

Especially digging this "Klub Zodiac" track!
Avatar 12:43pm
Tony Coulter:

Yeah, Konstruktivists are great. All their stuff is recommended.
Avatar 12:53pm
Tony Coulter:

Oh -- forgot to mention: both sides of this tape cut off abruptly, mid-track. Prepare to have the rug pulled out from under your feet.
Avatar 1:06pm
fleep:

And there it is.
Avatar 1:10pm
Tony Coulter:

Some of the more obscure groups on this tape had members who were also in much better-known groups. For example, one of the people in Sexus (on now) was also in Red Lorry Yellow Lorry.

coelacanth∅:

greetings Tony & all

Tony Coulter:

That Michael Mantra track that was just on reminded me that I walked by a store yesterday that was having a 20%-off sale on Tibetan singing bowls. They had a big sign in the window. Wonder if people will be lining up around the block.
Avatar 1:17pm
Tony Coulter:

Greets, coelacanth∅!
Avatar 1:18pm
Ike:

What about those useless rock salt lamps? Are they on sale yet?
Avatar 1:19pm
Tony Coulter:

Ike! Hiya!
Avatar 1:21pm
fleep:

The ones on sale sing off-key.
Avatar 1:23pm
Tony Coulter:

Ha!
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 1:25pm
Yvang:

Tibetan bowls, they have to be made of seven different kind of metal or else they don't provide the adequate healing sound power. I have a cheap one of only three metals, which is perfect to impress my friends and family.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:26pm
Sem:

Are they three of the noble truth metals?
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 1:28pm
Yvang:

Probably not, just ungentle metals.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:28pm
Michael 98145:

actually a local shop was selling rock salt lamps at a steep discount. then they went out of business.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:31pm
