rich:

aaah coel when i was a future other, let me tell ya that was the best future, never happened of course like all the best futures but for a moment, just a moment, i could almost grasp it . . . oh well
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:11am
coelacanth∅:

you might have a future as an other yet rich.
  12:14am
rich:

an other yeti rich might be the way to go
  12:20am
katharsis:

Here
  12:22am
katharsis:

The other future, always there too
  12:25am
rich:

that's the problem it's always there and we're always here

Ken From Hyde Park:

I wonder if there's a tax advantage to live in the future. Probably not.
Avatar 12:29am
Billy Jam:

am loving every song so far - thank YOU Rich
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:32am
coelacanth∅:

Ken maybe it depends how far in the future. if you go far enough you'll be a sea-dwelling, streamlined creature, like all humans, and will have no use for money or taxes.
if you go much farther than that you'll be bodyless and could easily evade your taxes.
Avatar 👻 Swag For Life Member 12:44am
Ken From Hyde Park:

That doesn't sound so bad, coel. Need to be far enough in the future to get past the reign of the lizard people.
  12:52am
yippie:

yes ken I agree 100%
  12:57am
katharsis:

Are the lizard people after the streamlined aquatics but before the formless or...?
  12:57am
rich:

but not so far where you miss getting to see walt disney and ted williams roaming about in some robot body, their disembodied brain floating in a jar driving them forward
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:59am
coelacanth∅:

whoa, good point rich. i don't want to miss that
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:01am
coelacanth∅:

the lizard people are now. they're expertly disguised.
we wont evolve to be aquatic again for a few million years.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:02am
coelacanth∅:

hey katharsis, that band misspelled your name!
  1:03am
katharsis:

Awww Catharsis!
  1:04am
Jocelyn:

I'd be afraid Alcor would keep all my money and I'd wake up in 2150 owing over a century of taxes
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:05am
coelacanth∅:

hahaha!
-you better wait 'till you need no body then, to be safe.

katharsis:

We come in all shapes, sizes

Heya Rich and Mdou!

hey Carmichael
  1:17am
Carmichael:

Heya coel.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:32am
coelacanth∅:

before i retire, which is imminent, i must disclose that the general idea of reverting back to being sea dwellers i got from Kurt Vonnegut; and is dependent on a specific course of events, as outlined in "galopagos", which i highly recommend.
  1:35am
Jocelyn:

Coel, I agree! I recommend it often to everyone
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:39am
coelacanth∅:

right? one of the few books i decided to read twice.
...hey Jocelyn i hope the world's treating you better than it seemed to be a week or 2 ago. (by the way)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:41am

  1:49am
rich:

but that plastic thing in the pacific should be as large as pangea by then
  1:51am
tak:

plastic people of the SEA
  1:56am
Jocelyn:

Thanks Coel, it's still rough, no resolutions to anything yet. But I keep going :)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:57am
coelacanth∅:

tak there is a way, and it's the same event that enables both the fish to survive and humans to evolve to the sea. it's a simple explanation but i don't want to wreck the brilliant unfolding of events in case you or someone else here wants to read galapagos.

-turning of computer now. take care everyone
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:58am
coelacanth∅:

oh - Jocelyn. i'm sorry to hear that. but you're hanging in there so glad to hear that part.
