This is where all of culture and all of time are collapsed into one seductive portal and viewed through the panoramic lens of the exotic. Come and embark on an armchair-travel virtual-voyage to the heart of timeless darkness and beyond; embrace the numinous monolith of the exotic immensity. Let us find that place where hybridization meets its destiny as pure fantasy. Let us become observers observing those others who are ourselves. You wear your mask and I'll wear mine.

i don't think every person on earth knows the name Brian Eno, therefore i think he's not overrated.

his participation on Low is both under- and overrated, often at the same time by the same people

When I bring him up to recommend his essay on the value of informal singing, I'm surprised how many don't know him, either form Roxy or solo ro other projects or all the producing of major acts recordings. Sometimes they think they've heard the name...kinda.

i just don't think he gets credit beyond what he deserves credit for. if one doesn't like his music, fine. some people don't like the beatles or Neil Young or John Coltrane....but his contribution to music and to countless individual artists is immeasurable.

The first time I saw dj Spooky, he played the Sun Ra/John Cage LP. Thankfully, since then, it's been played at WFMU and I found it online.
