Heya Mary. No link to here from the main page.

OK, disregard. Popped up while I was chasing you down.

Hello Rich, Brian, Michael, and Carmicheal!

@Brian and @Michael: How did you find the playlist today? Did you see a link from the main WFMU homepage, that Carmichael didn't see?
Avatar 12:30pm
Kenzo (Ken's Last Ever):

(and @Rich)

Rich in Washington:

I went to the schedule table when I didn't see a playlist on the main page.
It's not too uncommon for a playlist to not be immediately available, so that's my usual method.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:34pm
Rich in Washington:

going to be interesting to see how quick we get playlists going once all of us are live on the Sheena's Jungle Room stream. We're rolling that out today, in fact.
Avatar 12:35pm
Carmichael:

That's how I got here, too.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:36pm

Good whatever!

•mops brow• Hi, there. Will SJR have a daily email like the Drummer Stream has, if it doesn't already?
Avatar 12:41pm
Mary Wing:

I'm not sure who is in charge of SJR, actually.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:42pm
Rich in Washington:

Not that I am aware of - but if you're so inclined, you can join the Sheena's Jungle Room group on Facebook! I am sure something like an email list may be in the offing as we move out of the Beta stage and get even beta than evah.
Avatar 12:43pm
Kenzo (Ken's Last Ever):

@Rich some changes coming in a week and a half to behind-the-scenes playlist editor stuff that will make it so that playlists will be linked to more automatically more often.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:43pm
Rich in Washington:

The Major Domo of SJR is Mr. Fab, of Music For Maniacs blog and mashup artist RIAA fame.
Right now lots of organizing/cat herding is being done via FB. There's also a table on the main WFMU site under LISTEN.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:45pm
Rich in Washington:

The schedule's rather sparse at the moment but more DJs/shows are being added soon. Plus, as I said earlier, most of us are going live this week, with everyone eventually going live. We're from all over the globe.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:45pm
chresti:

Mr. Fab is the SJR administrator
Avatar 12:46pm

I owe Rich a...cookie
Avatar 12:50pm

The original of this is about 200 years old.
Avatar 12:53pm

The original of what, Rich?

I meant the Sinead.

Sorry. Was sucked into a work meeting. Hate when that happens
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:24pm
Rich in Washington:

I remember reading the lyrics to Lost In The Supermarket in a high school literature poetry unit, as an example of pop music as poetry type thing and my teacher going 'Oh dear' during the line 'I wasn't born, so much as I fell out'.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:25pm
Rich in Washington:

This is the second reference to Mick Jones I've seen today. Please tell me it's his birthday or he's being knighted or something...
Avatar 1:25pm
Mary Wing:

Heh. Nice choice of lyrics!
Avatar 1:26pm
Mary Wing:

Yes, it's his birthday, 64 years old!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:26pm

@Mary W, we have so many things coming at us from every angle, it is a wonder we can cope. At least we have this refuge :)

Indeed, Michael, indeed. A few hours to distract myself from the constant self-loathing, heh.

Meetings for me too. I work in government and June 30th is the big fiscal close day, so I'm getting crazy frantic messages from normally nominally sane people.
Avatar 1:58pm

Funny you should mention Bryce; I'm wearing his marbles in a blender T-shirt today!

Always dug this REM....
Avatar 2:10pm
Carmichael:

Have not listened much to REM. This seems pretty good.
Avatar 2:13pm

This was the last album where I was a major fan; didn't like Green too much but came back around for Out Of Time and then lost touch with them completely.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:14pm
