Mr Fab:

i love "Jack, That Cat Was Clean", I've never heard 'clean" meaning "cool", "sharp" etc. Maybe Dr Horse was trying to kick-start a new slang term?

I never heard Clean used that way either, I first heard that song on a compilation called "ancestors of rap" or something akin to that. It's a great track

Mr Fab:

muy frio, will check that out!

I just discovered last night a fairly ridiculous album by Latin singer Cecilia Noel doing Cuban remakes of rock songs like "She Shook me All Night Long" And "Whip It." And Gary Numans' "Cars"! Yes, in a mambo stylee. I am helpless to resist.

The voice of Carol Connors reminded me of Mariska Veres (Shocking Blue) somehow...

Was "Monkey On My Back" ever in common parlance or is this another slang attempt that didn't take off?
